I have that machine, the cutter catches the thread but won't cut it, it just get caught around the cutter. For the price the cutter should work properly.

Need advice ❤I'm looking for a machine that is durable, will last long, NO screen/lcd or any other unnecessary electronics (they break, i don't need them, just want simple), has automatic needle-threader, has top-loading bobbin and uses plastic class-15 bobbins. Has all the basic stitches and stretch-stitch for elastics. I'm considering Singer Heavy Duty 4452, as I will need to sew through leather and jeans occasionally. But I heard Singers break a lot (local sewing repair shop told me). Any suggestions pretty please?

I bought a refurbished brother 1634dx from you guys - maybe a year ago. First time I used it was a week ago. After learning how to thread it, I used a scrap fabric piece to check it. It worked great. But then today it wouldn’t even make any stitches. I rethreaded it several times. Still wouldn’t work. I’m so frustrated. I’m new using sergers. I re-installed both needles. Then it stitched only 2 stitches. Could it be something I’m doing wrong? It makes no sense. Since it worked fine last week.

I really enjoy Necchi machines. I had a Singer fashionmate 3333 before I purchased my first Necchi and I hated that machine - so temperamental and unreliable. I had never heard of the Necchi brand before purchasing my 1st Necchi machine, so was a little apprehensive at first, but after researching the brand, my concerns were quickly put to rest when I discovered it was a well established, century old Italian brand. Both of the Necchi's I have (one of them is this very model) are super reliable and have never given me any problems thus far.
